By rights I should be in bed sleeping and I am going after this, I promise...but I knocked up this little Scandinavian star Fairisle mughug and I'm uber chuffed with how it turned out. My only problem is that it is really baggy where I cast it off and it looks like it is longer there even though it isn't. Not sure how to counteract that or why it happened unless I bound off too loosely. Anyway here it is....and with that I bid thee goodnight and much love x

Slave to the Needles
I'm a committed crocheter as those of you who know me will already know, but for some reason recently I've had the urge to knit. I have always shied away from it before after brief dalliances, perhaps been too impatient maybe, but I'm really enjoying it now....and I've even been tackling Fairisle knitting. I never dreamed that would happen as I am not a person who enjoys fiddly stuff usually but anyway....here's a picture of my first ever Fairisle knitted creation....full of mistakes but not too shabby for a first attempt:
Yes the cabling went out of the window pretty quick but I think it's ok...the pattern is available here and it's simple and lovely, big thank you to the creator who kindly made it available for everyone to enjoy :) Next up: a snowflakey Fairisle mug hug!
Much love.
